Vocational Rehabilitation
Thanks to a grant from the Accel Foundation, To The Rescue HOPE Foundation is pleased to offer funding for vocational rehabilitation (VR) supports to individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Eastern Iowa resident
- Low income
- Demonstrated need
- No other funding sources available
Overcoming Employment Barriers
Vocational Rehabilitation is a process which enables persons with functional, psychological, developmental, cognitive, and emotional disabilities, impairments or health disabilities to overcome barriers to accessing, maintaining or returning to employment or other useful occupation.
Assistance may include, but is not limited to any of the following:
- develop IEP’s (individualized plans for employment)
- address disability related employment needs
- prepare for an agreed upon employment outcome
- provide entrepreneurship training
- develop business plans
- assist with startup costs related to employment
